The Girl Store was an e-commerce site where you could buy a girl her life back, simply by purchasing the items she needed to get a proper education — the most effective way to break the cycle of sex slavery and underage marriage.
To launch the site, we opened a physical pop up store in NYC where customers could physically browse the school supplies they are purchasing for girls. The online store sold out in less than a day, with the site receiving over 3 million hits and raising enough funds to send thousands of girls to school.

A few years later Nahni Kali asked us for another campaign to raise awareness. So, with a $10,000 budget and a lot of passion, we partnered with filmmaker Indrani Pal-Chaudhuri to create a movie trailer parody that dramatized this terrible, real life story — Indian girls are treated like an infectious disease that's plaguing society.
Indrani would go on to win a CNN 2018 Expose Award and the Tribeca Film Festival 2019 Disruptor Award for the work.
